3% KITCHEN SERVICE FEE

The hospitality business is notorious for the disparity in pay between tipped Front of Houseand Back of House/Kitchen employees. Despite our best efforts to pay our kitchen staffdecent hourly wages, front of house workers sometimes make more than double per houron busy nights, and NY State law does not allow kitchen staff to be included in the tip pool.By law, it allows tips to be shared only with staff interacting with customers.This 3% kitchen service fee is dedicated to our kitchen workers and functions to directlyreward their hard work. Simply raising menu prices and redistributing revenue towardswages would not accomplish the same goal, as server tips would increase as well, furtherperpetuating the disparity.The kitchen fee appears as a line item on your bill and does not supplement normal gratuity.Front of House staff are still dependent on your generosity for their compensation.
